did you know....

i have not heard of the legend of the green M&M's until my co-worker kerri told me
about it pre-valentines day. apparently, back in the day, green M&M's were considered
an aphrodisiac...and we go "huh, why green?"..

well, according to Celtic lore the Green man was the god of fertility, hence making green a color of fertility. so i went around looking for green-only M&M bags to bring to the office but i really couldn't find one and I did not want to spend a chunk of dough going in M&M world.. but last night guess, what i found in the clearance aisle of the supermarket. yup, that's right. green M&M's at half price.. so i bought a bunch and distributed it around the office but i did warn people about the side effects...

it reads: " Consumption of The Green Ones may result in elevated Romance levels."
obviously it's a marketing ploy, notice that the green M&M is a female...kind of sexist if you
ask me..

...now i know why they call it "green jokes" :) and NO, it won't make you horny.

i just knew i had this somewhere, so the ever impatient and the ever stubborn tsinggay, now has to manager multiple accounts with google... but since i cannot recall my password and username.. i'll just have to post this link, so the ever lazy me don't have to deal with the transfers and all that shit.... i don't even remember having this account but rereading my blogs gave me that mushy, reminiscing feeling and then i go " ah.. yes.. i do remember!"

25 random things... part I

since my medsurg exam has been pushed to next monday.. i am taking some time off studying tonight because my brain just can't take it anymore...so, taking cue from facebook, here is my "25 random things" -- in no particular order:

1. i saw LOTR ROTK 15 times in the theater...geek!

2. i could never comprehend decaf coffee

3. in high school, i was head over heels in love with jonathan brandis. i have this poster from a teen magazine hanging in my room

and i remember getting so upset when aimee told me he was dating tatyana ali, i never got over it!

4. ET was the very first movie i saw the movie theater... (wala pa double!)

5. Alladin was my first date movie.. hehehe.. then we went to jollibee, so "kilig" back then

6. i can reconcile millions of dollars worth of projects but i could not balance my checkbook

7. i check celebrity blogsites almost every half hour

8. my wrists are so tiny i'm afraid it would break

9. i am attuned to current events by watching jay leno monologues

10. when i came to the states i only carried 2 shoeboxes of photos, letters and cards from friends and family and my Xmen comic collection

11. i love red velvet cupcakes

12. i can't swim....

... the children are our future.....

as if forcing 4-year olds into tanning booths for beauty pageants isn't bad enough, this kid now has a kid....

this news to me is more sickening than octomom....children need to live, experience and embrace every level of their development... i honestly feel sorry for this children, an enraged by their parents.. this poor kid should be playing soccer or video games, not worry about changing diapers.... it is a sad thing when children grow up too fast...

...one month later....

i can't believe that it has been almost a month since i blogged....a lot has happened since and i had been awfully busy and stressed but i will keep my new year promise to maintain my blog... so what has happened since then... well.....
1. another semester has started and i am already stressed about our first exam
2. i survived my first ever year-end closing - $71 MM worth of projects .. woohoo!
3. auditors are in checking our accounts.. waaahhhhh!
4. i got my new phone!!! Blackberry Curve 8900, it's not pink but it works!

5. the same day i got my phone, this announcement came out...


6. oh well at least a new season of HEROES and HOUSE started...
